I read Looking For Alaska for the second time, and decided to do a review on it! Miles has had enough of his friendless, boring life in Florida, so he convinces his parents to let him go to a boarding school in Alabama so he can seek "The great perhaps". When he gets there he meets his roommate and future best friend Chip, who is known as the Colonel, and Alaska Young, the gorgeous, moody, crazy girl who immediately becomes his one desire. Miles becomes a part of the war against the Weekday Warriors, a bunch of rich kids who go home every weekend. Miles becomes closer with Alaska and Chip and the rest of their group (Takumi, Lara) through pranks, studying, smoking, and rule-breaking. About halfway through the book a tragedy occurs. John Green is the only author to make me cry over a book! He made my heart ache. He's amazing. After the tragedy happens, those left spend the rest of the book trying to make sense of what happened, and to pull off one last, greatest-ever prank. This book is amazing. It deserves all of the awards it's won. It's passionate, funny, and moving. John Green is truly one of the best authors I've ever read. Other books you can read by him are Paper Towns, The Fault In Our Stars, An Abundance Of Katherines, Will Grayson, and some others. There's a movie coming out for The Fault In Our Stars so I suggest you see it as well!
